The first ever Giving Tuesday was launched Tuesday, November 27, 2012 right here in New York by a team at the Belfer Center for Innovation & Social Impact at the 92nd Street Y, a cultural center in Manhattan. We celebrate it on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving as a reminder of the power of community and the change we can create together.
In the decade since its inaugural run, the holiday has inspired hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

Revitalizing Our Athletic Fields
Our Raiders have clinched 32 Mountain Valley Conference titles and ten illustrious Region 3 championships since the school’s establishment in 1963. While FMCC boasts top athletes, our athletic fields are falling behind in nurturing their talents and spirits.
With a vision to raise $2.5 million, we’re poised to transform these important spaces. The upgraded fields will provide students with access to state-of-the-art athletic facilities, enriching their campus experience.
This not only benefits student-athletes who use the fields for practice and competition, but also encourages a more active, healthy campus community as these fields can be used for various recreational activities.
The upgraded fields will also enable FMCC to host events such as collegiate tournaments and local youth camps, which can generate significant revenue and bring in visitors.
Launching the Cyber Range
In an age where digital security is paramount, FMCC is stepping forward with the establishment of a state-of-the-art Cyber Range.
This immersive education and simulation center will thrust students and professionals into realistic scenarios, preparing them for critical cybersecurity challenges.
Beyond education, the Cyber Range stands as a fortress for local businesses. We’re paving the way for a future where FMCC is the go-to resource for organizations to fortify their defenses, offering them a haven to develop robust cybersecurity procedures and policies.
