A Legacy Investment:
The Delaney Family Foundation Commits $100,000 to FMCC’s New Athletic Turf Field
A field is more than grass and lines.
It is where discipline is built.
Where teams become families.
Where leadership, resilience, and pride take shape.
Today, the Foundation of Fulton-Montgomery Community College proudly announces a transformational $100,000 gift from The Delaney Family Foundation to support the College’s new Athletic Turf Field.
As part of Phase I of the project, the new soccer turf field will officially be named “Delaney Field.” This naming represents more than recognition — it reflects a shared belief in the power of athletics to shape lives and strengthen communities.
Investing in Students. Strengthening Community.
The addition of Delaney Field marks a major milestone in FMCC’s commitment to enhancing the student experience. Upgraded athletic facilities play a critical role in:
Supporting student-athlete recruitment
Enhancing retention and enrollment
Providing safe, high-quality training and competition environments
Expanding partnerships with local high schools and youth organizations
FMCC plans to collaborate with regional schools, youth programs, and community groups to host events, trainings, and camps — extending the field’s impact well beyond campus boundaries.
This is not simply an athletic improvement.
It is a community investment.

A Tradition of Raider Excellence
Since its founding in 1963, FMCC has built a proud and competitive athletic tradition.
As a Division III member of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), the Raiders compete in the Mountain Valley Conference and Region 3 — facing strong competition across eastern New York.
Over the decades, FMCC student-athletes have earned:
34 Mountain Valley Conference championships
11 Region 3 championships
Most recently, conference titles in women’s volleyball and women’s basketball (2023–24)
The addition of Delaney Field ensures that this tradition of excellence continues for future generations.

Building for the Future
Athletics at FMCC are about more than competition. They are about opportunity — for growth, for teamwork, for leadership, and for lifelong impact.
By investing in modern, sustainable facilities, the College strengthens its ability to serve students across fall, winter, and spring athletic seasons while enhancing the overall campus experience.
Delaney Field will stand as a visible reminder of what is possible when philanthropy and purpose come together.
