Ginger Cato (Class of 2000) is the 2025 Distinguished Alumni Award recipient, honored for her unwavering commitment to recovery advocacy, public health education, and community empowerment. As Director of the Rob Constantine Recovery Community and Outreach Centers, Ginger leads efforts to reduce stigma and build support systems for those impacted by addiction. Her leadership, certifications, and community coalition work exemplify the spirit of service and strength that FM alumni strive for. Ginger lives in Gloversville with her husband and daughter and continues to be a guiding force in peer-led recovery.
Dr. Stanislava Mladenova, a global leader in security and development, is the 2025 Distinguished Alumni Award winner. Currently serving as NATO’s Operations Division Core Team Lead in Moldova, Dr. Mladenova has spent two decades advancing peace, resilience, and reform across conflict zones—from West Africa to Afghanistan. Her distinguished career spans NATO, the World Bank, and the U.S. Institute of Peace, and her expertise in civil-military engagement is shaping international policy and academic thought. A proud FM alum, Dr. Mladenova exemplifies the power of education to transform both lives and nations.
I am a lifelong resident of Fulton County. I graduated from Mayfield High School in 2002. During my senior year at Mayfield, I completed a full year of college at FMCC. I was Mayfield’s first full time early admission student.
FMCC was a great stepping stone to forward my education and I had some great professors including Art Recesso and Andy DiNitto and many others! Brent resides in Hagaman with his wife Deborah Slezak Esq, son Samuel, daughter Kate, and son Luke.
Jine is deeply committed to the oncology community, actively participating in educational and professional development opportunities. She contributes to the field through her involvement with global organizations like the American Association of Physicists in Medicine, where she provides clinical support and training for Ukrainian physicists. Her work has been published in Radiation Oncology News for Administrators, and she has spoken at prestigious events such as ASTRO and RTANYS. Additionally, she serves on the Board of Directors for the National Society for Radiation Oncology Administrators and actively engages with various healthcare organizations, including MGMA, through committee work and leadership roles. Jine reflects.
Mr. Semione was born in Gloversville in 1961. He is one of 6 children. He graduated from Gloversville High School in 1979. He spent his first 2 years of college at FMCC. He graduated with an Associates Degree in Accounting and Business. He continued his education at SUNY Albany and Cal State Dominguez Hills for business
Kayla was accepted into the Radiology Technology program at Fulton-Montgomery Community College during her senior year of high school in 2005. She graduated from the program in 2007 with plans to finish her bachelor’s degree in health sciences.
